Young People: our future

Image
Every November, the Philippines celebrates National Children's Month. Giving Filipino children access to healthy environments, quality education and healthcare is the goal of this month-long celebration. The Philippines' national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, said young people are the future of the country and raising children is key to improving the next generation.      Many schools also celebrated the national children's month by organizing sports events, seminars, motivational speeches to students and many other events for children. Teachers and parents also shower their love and affection towards the child by distributing gifts, chocolates, and toys.             As soon as I walked in here in school, I felt so many emotions, it felt so unreal; the thought of being grade 10 now still can’t properly sink in my head. I felt so overwhelmed because after 2 years of being stuck in the house, doing modules and attending online classes… Here I am now, I'm in school to learn new lessons with our teachers discussing in front and with my classmates inside the classroom. The first time our teacher announced that we are going to have a quiz, it was still fine… but, the next few days were not okay, there is no day that we are no...

Beautiful View, Destroyed by Us

Image
Us humans, we really love to go to the seas to see its beautiful view and calming sound of the waves. But most of the people who go to the sea are undisciplined and just throw their wastes everywhere around here. That’s why me and my classmates decided to go to the sea and clean the seaside by picking up the trash. It’s just a small water bottle but it has a big contribution that can destroy our environment. With Jasmine and Elaine, we put the garbage we picked up in the sack. I hope that this undisciplined trait of humans should change and be responsible and and disciplined enough so that we can achieve a clean and beautiful environment again.
