The long wait is over, ISNHS celebrating its 121st High School Day
After almost 3 years of wait, Ilocos Sur
National High School finally celebrated its 121st foundation day with the theme
of “Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence of
Solidarity” that was held on March 25, 2023, 8:00 a.m at ISNHS Centennial
Gymnasium. The celebration of the school's 121st High School Day was
a momentous occasion that brought together students, teachers, alumni, and
other members of the school community.
The
program included a thanks for mass, a doxology, and a message from ISNHS Principal
IV, Mrs. Editha C. Bagcal, Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy, CESO V, and an intermission
number from the selected grade 10 students – 10 Maxwell who performed hip-hop
dance. Atty. Lovely Anne Joy C. Lazo, a former student of ISNHS, gave an
inspirational message about her journey. This program also included the
awarding of plaque of recognition to the guest speaker, the intermission number
of the teachers' choir, and the award of outstanding teachers, employees, and
retirees of the school. Mr. Rommel R. Rabo, the asst. principal II of SHS, gave
his words of gratitude and the closing song which is the "walang hanggang
pasasalamat." The third part of the program was the field demo @ 1:00 p.m.
After the prayer, Mr. Reynario T. Viloria gave his welcome address. And the
main event, the field demonstration. It contains the calisthenics, festival
dance performances from grade 9 students, and the hip-hop dance performances
from grade 10 students. After the performances from the students, traditional
games, booths and finally, Mrs. Judeliza M. Refuerzo the head teacher VI from
MAPEH Department gave her words of gratitude.
Beyond the performances and
celebrations, the 121st High School Day of Ilocos Sur National High
School served as a reminder of the important role that education plays in
shaping the future of our youth. In conclusion, the 121st High
School Day of Ilocos Sur National High School was a joyous and memorable event
especially for us students who were experiencing this kind of event for the
first time. As we look forward to the future, this school, ISNHS remains
dedicated to empowering the youth for a sustainable future and continuing its
legacy of excellence in education.
